About us

We have been working on DriveAngel for over four years. We are an international team of seasoned professionals in our respective fields. Our collective experience in developing cutting edge IT solutions and media content (to mention just two of our core skills) can be counted in decades rather than years. We all have experience in working for global corporations as well as for small start-ups. Most of us have also been entrepreneurs.
DriveAngel was born out of our shared belief that both as a company and individulas we have what it takes to develop the kind of technology and services that will revolutionise how how we perceive and go about road safety.

Vlatko Fras, founder

Vlatko Fras studied electronic engineering but spent half of his career in the media as a journalist and editor. After working for 10 years in the UK for the BBC he returned to his native Croatia to indulge in his passion for sailing. He, Nenad Kljaić and Igor Soršak built in 2000 the world's first real-time web-based booking system for charter boats called TANTRA (Travel Availability Navigator & Transparent Response Array). The solutions they devised have since been copied by 1000s of sites in the travel industry. When you book your flights online you can be pretty sure that it is likely the designers of the site used some of the solutions introduced by Vlatko and Nenad 13 years ago. Vlatko is still the CEO of Yacht Charter Agency www.ClubAdriatic.com and occasionaly works as a skipper (only for people who like to talk about wine and technology).

Nenad Kljaić

Nenad is a software engineer and is currently involved in two startup projects as well as in developing solutions for a number of major national telecoms, ranging from Indonesia to Holland. He has been developing mobile applications for over 15 years while pushing mobile devices to, or to be more precise, beyond their limits ;)
His particular area of expertise is signal processing, especially audio signal processing. Ever since his masters degree paper on the subject of "Audio signal processing on embedded devices" Nenad has been enjoying pushing the boundaries of his playfield.
As a result at some point he developed an obsession about the "connected car" before anyone could have had a clue about what the connected car was suppposed to be about. Some five years ago he launched an iphone app, CTW (Croatia Traffic and Weather) that turned out to be a stepping stone to the making of DriveAngel.

Vedran Škrnjug

Vedran dreams of augmented reality (and electronic sheep).
Vedran is a software engineer and has been developing games and backend systems for over 15 years. Being a passionate motorcyclist he jumped at the opportunity to help bring the two worlds he loves together, computers and motorbikes.

Jovica Popović

Software Architect with a passion for all things mobile
Jovica has been developing software for decades, since 1MHz was considered fast, and 64KB was considered plenty. That experience offers valuable perspective when it comes to programming glowing supercomputers we carry around in our pockets and refer to them as 'phones'.

Predrag Popović

Predrag has been working with enterprise wide, straight through processing, real-time systems for quite some time. Started in Civil Engineering (2D and 3D graphics), then moved to Academia (Graphics Standards), then to Software Industry (Operating Systems), then to Investment Banking (Trading and Risk Management), then to Gaming (end-to-end Trading Platforms). Outside work, he is passionate about journalism, music, films and helping grow something out of nothing.

Robert Rebernak

Robert graduated at the Academy of Fine Art as a painter. He spent most of his career as an art director and designer on projects where he created visual identities, advertising campaigns, websites etc. He runs his own design studio REBER since 1994.
A large part of his work has been for clients from the automotive industry, including Mercedes Benz..
In his private life Robert is an aficionado of vintage cars. His Citroen shark, vintage 1968, played a key role in some of our videos and tests.
